Split positive values and retun as negative and positive numbers

not sure this is what you are after
BUT based on your example , and only that example
=10-A1
copied down
will provide the answer
see column G

do you have another example

column H
could probably use a median to find the middle number
=MEDIAN($A$1:$A$21)-A1

then anything below that number will be positive anything above negative

note the rows go down the sheet , usually number numerically 1,2,3 etc
and the columns go acroos left to right usually (unless different country) and labelled alphabetically A,B,C etc

As i do understand you sugest put =10-A1 into an empty cell and than drag it down.
I would like to have a formula that does that automaticaly.
Lets say i paste the data into column A and excel converts and outputs the data into an extra row .
The number of cells in a row A would always have the same amount of cells

then you need a macro, not a formula/function- I dont provide macros here

Hi again i dont mind function or formula to be pasted in to Column .
