Requiire dates in spreadsheet to use hypens not a slash

I am tasked with a project at work. Multiple users access this spreadsheet via MS TEAMS. I have already set up data validation, and require each user to select the date from a drop down menu. The initial drop down had dates set up like mm-dd-yyyy; however, the moment I uploaded the spreadsheet to TEAMS, it is automatically changing the hyphen to a slash! I do not want this! What can I do to resolve this chaotic mess?

Sounds like a setting in the TEAMS program
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

copy and paste into a notepad, then copy and paste from the notepad... it will keep the formatting. Ran into the same thing before where excel's formatting wouldn't transfer over or keep original format without switching.

I actually managed to fix it. I had to open it in the regular excel and then uploaded a new version to teams, and I placed a data validation rule in place. My geek flag is flying!
