Smile Creating a List from Matching a Conditional List?

I'm sorry if I don't even know the right way to ask the question, maybe you can tell me how to ask it after I describe it below.

    1. I get a list of keyword phrases (some are 2 or more words with spaces between)
    2. I put the whole list in domain checker which automatically squeezes out the spaces and returns only those that are available (spaces are now gone so its just a domain name now)
    3. I want to return them to keyword phrases with spaces again.

The original list has like 600 phrases. The list returned from the domain checker is only like 300 phrases. So I need to know how to check the domain name (I know how to *** off the .com from the all) against the main list and create a new list of all the domains as their original keyword phrases.

I think, somehow, I have to conditionally squeeze all the spaces out of the original list, then match it up with the 2nd list and if there's a match, then I have to put that ORIGINAL keyword into a new list next to its squeezed down version.

Anyone understand this? And/or have a better way of explaining it in Excel terminology?

Thank you very much, in advance,
    Eric

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Ok, I believe I've done that properly. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks!
