    Trouble moving formula over

    Howdy,

I am trying to make an inventory spreadsheet that manages the medications for the ambulance service I work for. The first part of my spreadsheet works very well, but im having troubles with the page labelled expired. The column for the drug cabinet works fine, but I cant get the formula to work for any of the units. If the first expiry date is met it works fine, but if only the second expiry date is met it adds both numbers of expired drugs instead of just the second one. I do not have this issue with the drug cabinet column. Attached is the spread sheet im working on.

    Thanks!

    Re: Trouble moving formula over

hi Quakefire, not very sure on what u meant about the 1st & 2nd expiry date. Could u show what u need to see in the Expired worksheet? u said the "Drug cabinet" column is fine right? So what is Unit 56-59 (Column C-H) supposed to show?

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

    Thanks for your reply.

The spreadsheet is set up to handle multiple expiry dates for the medications, as is shown on the sheet 'Drug Cabinet'. When going down the column under the sheet "Expired" the set of IF formulas looks at the first expiry date and compares it to todays date. If the medication has expired according to its first expiry date then it inputs the value from the # of drugs expired column. If it has not expired it moves on to check the second expiry date. If they are both expired then it adds the two values for # of drugs expired.

As I said this works for the supply in the drug cabinet, just not for units 54-59. I hope this clears things up

hi Quakefire, see if this is what u need. i discovered that your Drug Cabinet column looks wrong, so i did an edited one in blue. Also added 4 egs below to illustrate why i feel it's wrong. see if i understood correctly. did the formulas for the other units too.

That seems to work perfectly. Im not entirely sure where I went wrong but once I get a chance to write them both out and go through the if statements im sure ill find it.

    Thanks alot!
