Changes in the Project Explorer window?

    Hi guys....
I’ve just “upgraded” to Windows 7, and note that when using Find (ctrl+F or ctrl+H) in the Excel VBA editor to find references to variables, the module which contains the currently located instance is no longer highlighted in the Project Explorer window.
Unless I’ve been hallucinating, I’m sure this used to happen (under Vista), ‘cos I found it really useful to get an extra visual clue as to the whereabouts of the reference.
I’ve searched for some sort of “Options” setting, but can find nothing.
Does anyone know how to restore this functionality?

    Steve

    Hi sjahlq

I also just made this transition to Windows 7. I also use the Feature you describe. I find the functionality still exists.

    Thanks for the reply, jaslake.
Unfortunately, that doesn't help much, except to point out that somehow, somewhere some setting(s) have changed.
Anyone know what they may be?

The shading is pretty subtle. Maybe a tweak on monitor settings?

    Dear shq....
The shading always used to be pretty blatant, but I'll have another look at the colour settings.
I've also discovered that if I click the slider area on the Project Explorer after each Find result, the relevant module then becomes highlighted!
Whilst this is OK in one sense, it obviously removes focus from the ongoing search, and while the search can be continued, it acts as if the search were freshly initiated (i.e. you don't get the "End of search" message at the correct place).
    Weird,eh?

    GOTCHER!!!
I got the shading back by going to Control Panel/Personalization/Change the Theme, then selecting "Windows Classic" from " Basic and High Contrast Themes".
I'm still not sure why Microsoft chose to remove this helpful facility by disabling it in the "Windows 7 Basic" theme, but then, like a lot of other folk, I'm rarely sure why Microsoft choose to remove helpful facilities.
As with most "helpful" upgrades, I now have to invest a lot of time in understanding how Themes work, how to control them, what options are available etc. just to get back to where I was before I was "helped".
    Ah well, such is life....
