Trying To Keep a Pivot Table Row Permanently Displayed

I currently have some data displayed in a pivot table. It's displayed by region and one of the regions in the data is "Target". I have this at the top of all of the regions to show the target number for quick reference.

I also have a slicer so that the user can just view one region at a time and all of the locations included under that region. However, I want the Target region to always be displayed. What I tried doing is have the slicerItem.Selected property be set to true for Target on any pivot update. It works fine except the work book becomes frozen for a few seconds after it has already updated. If I write a separate Sub that sets Target to selected it runs fine. It's just when I run that code under the PivotUpdate sub.

I've attached a workbook with a really simple example of what I'm trying.

    SlicerUpdateExample.xlsm

I get the same problem with this data so I know it doesn't have to do with the size of the data.

Just wanted to give this a bump since I haven't heard anything.

Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide.

That did the trick, I figured it was probably something simple like that.

    Thank you so much romperstomper!
