Saving files for review

Hey there guys I need help with a feature in a one of my files. The file I created is supposed to allow me to check daily documentation for accuracy and change any mistakes. I m able to do this but i dont want to check the same document 5 times a week becasue I know there will not be any changes and the process will be the same. I need to find a way to review each doc, have the macro store the date it was checked, and only remove the check mark if it was checked more than a certain amount of days ago.
