Auto highlight row & column of active cell without deleting existing cell colour

    Hi,
I've been battling this for awhile & after having a good google & general search am not having much luck finding a solution!
I'd like the full row & column of a cell to highlight when it is selected but without removing the existing colour in the cells.
I've found some code to highlighting the row & column but as soon as I select a different cell the colour that was there previously is wiped.
    Help!
    Thanks in advance

Perhaps this will help you. Store the colors and the address of the cell in a auxiliary sheet. and restore it then your selection change something along this lines

I am sorry I was wondering if you had a sample of the workbook that contains the code to highlight so I could insert my code there and have it all working.

    Thanks
