Greetings, Excel Friends
I could use some expertise/guidance on this request. I require two macros that are password protected to hide or unhide vital imformation that only persons who maintain the workbook should be able to view. Here are descriptions of each:
Macro/VBA #1: Entitled 'Unlock_Hidden_Material'
What it needs to do:
1) Prompt user for a password (password entry box with OK and Cancel). If user enters correct password into prompt box (password is 'NIOSHSD') then the rest of this macro would proceed. If nothing or the incorrect password is entered into the password prompt box, nothing happens and the macro does not run.
2) If password is correctly entered the VBA: Unhides HIDDEN worksheets 'Paste BI Report Here' and 'Macros'.
3) Lastly, I need this to unhide columns A, B, C, and H in worksheet that is never hidden and always present called 'WI SHSD'.
Macro/VBA #2: Entitled 'Lock_Hidden_Material'
What it needs to do:
1) Prompt user for a password (password entry box with OK and Cancel). If user enters correct password into prompt box (password is 'NIOSHSD') then the rest of this macro would proceed. If nothing or the incorrect password is entered into the password prompt box, nothing happens and the macro does not run.
2) If password is correctly entered the VBA: (re)-HIDES worksheets named 'Paste BI Report Here' and 'Macros'.
3) Lastly, I need this to (re)-HIDE columns A, B, C, and H in worksheet that is never hidden and always present called 'WI SHSD'.
I am deferring to your excel wisdom for guidance with this last piece of the puzzle for a massive project I have been working on for many months now! :D
