Check to see if IE is open (regardless of how many folders are open)

I am using the currect code to check if IE is open:

assuming I have no other applications running, the output is good. If I do not have a IE open, .count = 0
and if a IE window is open, the count is >0.

the problem occurs when I have a folder open (file explorer). If I have my documents open, the count is now "1", which means that checking this count means that it counts both folder and IE windows.

Is there any way I can find out just how many IE windows are open?
