Lookup value according to Year & Month

    Sir

    happy new year

    requesting for your help

i have two sheets ( master and front ).

    Front Sheet :

i want to get the value from master sheet to front sheet according to corresponding Year and Month.

Year and Month i made in drop down list.. so when i change the values of year and month
the values of zone need to change according to year and month

    Eg
i like to get value of Fire Safety of ZONE A from master sheet according to corresponding year and month

There were a few problems here. Firstly, you had entered the year numbers as TEXT on the master sheet. That had me confused for a while.. Secondly, the use of merged cells throughout the master is a bit of a disaster. I've killed them all. The result looks ugly, but can be solved by changing the text colour to match the background. I've done that for the zone names in columns T to Z. The cell then looks merged, even though it's not. Then, the formula works OK...

Finally, these are array formulas and must be confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

I don't think it ca be done easily, then. Merged cells are a disaster, as they cause SO many problems. Over to others...

Have you many calculations using the merged cells? It might be easier to adjust them....
