Excel 2010 crashes upon UserForm Initialize (on other computer)

    Hey guys

I have a large userform on a large spreadsheet. The initialize code is quite long, but it's fine (I think).

The file sits on a server and on my computer I can open the file and click a button to open up the userform perfectly fine - absolutely no problems.

As soon as someone else who is logged onto the server tries to open the same file (I don't have it open at this point) on a different computer, and clicks the same button to open the userform.... excel crashes completely.

The excel file itself has been built on my computer for the past several months and the only way I can explain why this is happening is:

The file works perfectly on the computer it was built on and doesn't perform on computers its not used to.

I know this is complete rubbish, but I just don't know what is going on here.

I was wondering if there were any quick fixes that may help?

Note, I haven't tried opening the file on a local pc. In other words, the file has only ever been opened on our server and not directly on/from a computer hard drive.

    Huge thanks

Do you get any error messages at all? Do you have any missing references on the other machines? Could you please post your code?

    Hi Kyle

There's no actual VBA error, it's just a windows thing that says Excel has stopped working... check online for a solution.

What do you mean by references?

    The code:

Re: Excel 2010 crashes upon UserForm Initialize (on other computer)

Update: I've just noticed that after I get the message "Excel has stopped working... check online for a solution.", in the background there's another pop up which says Automation Error.

I've since tested the spreadsheet on a local PC and it works 100% - so I think this whole problem could be down to a security problem / setting?

    Any info on this?
