Hi,

I am not sure if this is correct place to ask question here. But here goes....

As a volunteer, I just completed "decorating" up excel sheet for my sister's girl club. I have added entire cell with background images attaching pictures from files which is pretty much dark. I have also changed font color to white. Now cell is "White on Black". Lot of members are satisfied the with result. Except for one thing, I notice when I open cell to input data. The cell background would display in white with white font which there is nothing to see what we input unless we have to look into formula bar.

I just came up with other solution, I changed cell background color and realized it would override the background image. I could not come up with any other solution, but was told its possible to do VBA coding, changing cell background color without overriding background image in cell. Is thee a way to change cell background color without override background image on cell?

Few weeks ago, with great help from Coorza and alansidman. See this discussion here
double click on cell to turn value into 1 or Null has be great achievement for me. I am able to get checkmark icon to display based on value 1 when I double click on cell when I apply conditional formatting rules. Just like this...

Now the question is, Is it possible to assign font based checkmark e.g (wingdings alt+252) based on Value 1 after double clicking on cell? Is there a way to do this with conditional formatting? Or do i need VBA to code this?

Thanks in advance.
