    Question about Pivot Tables

I am trying to create a pivot table from a range.

The range has 29 columns, The pivot table insert will create a table, but will only show the first 23 columns.

Column 24 thru 29 contains formulas. but they will not show in the pivot table.

Columns 24 is an active status- and is either a 1 or 0, this can change at any time.

I had planed to use the active status as a filter to only show data for active employees.

But can not get that column to show.

Is there a limit on the number of columns in a pivot table?

    Thank You
    Jesse

    Hi Jesse,

Here is a link to Pivot Table Limits and I don't think you are even close to a limit.

More likely is you have a blank column on or about column 23. You also need different column names at the top of each column. If you have two that are exactly the same, Excel has a problem with that. Or perhaps you have a Merged Cell in the column heads that is causing the problem.

I also have a problem with the version of Excel you claim to have, as your profile says "Excel 2015". Are you using Excel? What version is it as I don't think there is a "2015" version.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Re: Question about Pivot Tables

    Thank you for your response,

    I have Office 365, with Excel 2013

The Excel 2015 was a mis print. should have been 2013.

Found one column title the same, changed that and problems was solved.

    Thank You

    Re: Question about Pivot Tables

Thanks for the update. The reason all us "experts" know this stuff is we've done those mistakes ourselves before. I'm glad you found the dup column head and solved your problem.
