Can't click button and Properties doesn't show up

This may be a computer settings issue, but as it deals with excel VBA, I figure I should ask.

I have a VBA program that I created on Excel 2013 with Windows 8.1 that works fine. I transferred the program onto a tablet (I did not manage the settings) that is Excel 2013 with Windows 8.1 as well. However, when I go into the program on the tablet, I am unable to click (or tap) any of the buttons that previously worked. When I go into Design Mode and click on the button, then I look at the Properties of that button, it doesn't get recognized. I then go to add a button and I get a msgbox that pops up saying "Cannot insert object."

I even tried making a new worksheet and I am unable to insert an Active X button. I went into the Trust Center but the changes do not seem to make any difference.

How can I fix this?

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Thank you. I think I have it fixed. I did updates and just fixing it.
