I have sheet where dates are in column A, and values in column C. I want to (first) make average from each month, and then make total average from these averages.
Here's what I tried for only one month, but not working :

MonthName(1) returns a string "January"
Month(argument) returns 1 to 12
You're asking if a number 1 to 12 equals a string "January", "February", etc.

Yes, this is just what I tried to display result for January average, nothing else. But even that is not working.

thanks, this works. But as I told this was only my experiment for average of one month. I need TOTAL average for all month averages in sheet.
There are 3 months in sample. So first I need to make average for each month, then sum these averages and make another (total) average. I want to have average of values per month.

Well here's the thing, it's very late where I am, so I'm going to bed. Maybe someone else will help you. You should always state what you are doing and what you want fully. You give an example and then you want something else. I could have given you what you wanted in the first place, but for some reason you have to go about it the way you are.

No problem, thanks for response anyway. I thought I was clear in post#1, obviously not. Have a nice dream though
So for anyone else here is another sample : in P13 is the formula result I WISH to display in Userform. Note that sheets in original workbook are each in different year, so ranges for dates are not same as formula in this cell.
P.S: You can also see average in C92, and you'll notice that result isn't same as in P13. This result is also something I DON'T WANT.
