VBA to lookup value and copy and paste

    Hi All,

I have a master spreadsheet, which lists part numbers

I then have around 100 separate spreadsheets, with which I want to pull the info from

When I open one of the 100 spreadsheets, the part number will always be listed in cell G36

What I need is some vba that will look at G36, and find that part number in column A of the master spreadsheet, once found I need to copy cell G28 and paste it in column B of the master spreadsheet, beside the relevant part number

and copy cell G35 into Column C of the master spreadsheet , beside the relevant part number

right now I am doing this manually, but I know there has to be a faster way

I have used some VBA before but never between 2 different spreadsheets

Thanks in advance for any replies

    Regards,

Do you have an example of what you mean? Do you have 100 different workbooks with a sheet in each? If so how are they named, where are they kept etc etc, or 100 sheets in 1 workbook.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply

They are each separate workbooks, some with multiple sheets that have information I need to pull

They are all randomly named, so I was hoping maybe a macro I can run manually once I have the workbook open

In hindsight, even if I can have a code that will copy and paste the 3 cells referenced in my first post, and just paste to the next available row, eliminating the need to lookup the value
