Simple save not working

I'm bewildered;I'm trying to do a simple "Save", and it's not working. In my full code, I open the workbook, make somes change, save it (the part not working), then do a Save As (which IS working), then close. I've verified that I can manually open it and save it, but I can't get my code to do it. If I turned off the "With Application" stuff, when it comes to the Save line I get a prompt saying that the workbook already exists. Help requested, please.
