Change color of button when timer runs

I am using the timer in the attached spreadsheet to track machine changeover and cleaning times. I would like to create a macro to change the color of the button, so when the timer is on it is green and when the timer of off it is red.

I used conditional formatting to give an visual indication when the timer is on or off. Is it possible to write a macro to change the color of the button based on the timer status?
