XL Crashes when RENAMING Tabs - Not the usual fixes

Hi All,

I have a spreadsheet/tool that gets SQL data, updates a pivot table, and does other fancy tricks. When the workbook is open, and I try to rename a tab in a different workbook, all of Excel crashes.

There are many threads out there pointing to Application.Volatile and UDF. I have not been able to find any reference to 'Volatile' in the project. And I don't have any 'Functions' per se. I have Subs that pass variables, but it does not work. I also changed and code like: ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Data").Range..., changed the sheet's codename (Sheet1 --> DataSheet) and re-wrote code to DataSheet.Range... But this did not seem to cure the problem.

When the workbook opens, it adds context menus when you right-click on a pivot table and also sets the calc method to manual.

Any other ideas on how to trouble shoot?

I'd probably take a copy and just cut out sections of code (or sections of data/sheets) until it doesn't crash...
