    Help on Ideas of how to transform data from a vertical to more horizontal layout

    Hi,

    I have a problem where i am trying to transform some data from a vertical layout to a more horizontal layout.

    Now i am not asking you to write the macro for me just some ideas on the best way to approach this.

    In my example i only show a single person in my actual file there are many people but if i can get some ideas
    on how to handle a single person this might be all i need.

    i am enclosing a file. In the file cols A through E represent the file i want to transform. Cols H through Q is what i want the output to look like.

    I realize this is an unusual request but if you have any ideas which might make this easier please let me know.

    Thanks.

    Note: I posted/attached the file but it does not show up like it used to after i have attached it. If its not there please let me know.

    with the macro below to fill the data in column A (and the same for column B and C

    After that

    F2 =WEEKNUMBER((D2)) and drag down

    After that a pivot table.

    See the attached file.
    Notice my main language is not English.

    I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    Thanks. So you would use a pivot table........had not thought of that. I was trying to use arrays and all kinds of other stuff. But your soln seems easy and nice.

    Thanks.
