in attached list there is some codes and packages are in columns E & F, i want when i write in column J(in whole column), just zahi250 or siscon or wp1000 it should show code instead of package name...???

this post was regarding to my colleague, i do not want this solution due to some reason(because data will more than 2000 and to scroll & find package for it not possible), he ask the question in last post you said that repost it with new thread..

1) Select data in Col. E & F
2) go to [Create Names From Selection] in Formulas Ribon
3) Select [Right Column]
Enter any cell starting with "=" like =ZAHI500H
it will replace the formula to the corresponding value in col.E

in this case every time write (=) and write exact spell than it will work(because we have share sheet with different people, we cannot teach them), i want just write zahi250 or wp500 in any case(upper or lower) code shows

I could not find any difference between your question and the question that is asked in the post I shared link of.
Would you please show some results in your workbook that are manually putt. Because the question you are asking in this thread is similar to that one of old thread of adeel.

i made some example in column J with comment note, in Mr adeel query there is drop-down list from where selecting the data, he can go with it because he has very small data,
in my case i want to write in cell package name and actual package name is zahi250h but just write to zahi250 only its shows code instead of package name..?pl

A little bit different technique is adopted here.I assume that you are continuously filling column J and you don't edit any data in between this column.The searching is made easier in the ComboBox.

may you got my point,this is good idea which you produce,exactly as i want like this but little different,can it is impossible that instead of combo box in column J in each cell just i write package name and show the code..??

Typing manually may result in wrong entry. How would you ensure the accuracy of manual typing?

i belong to telecom industry, so our each employee knows the packages name there is only 1% Chance of typing error and if he type the wrong package name in cell definitely code will not show in respective cell & this is sign of error and i forgot to share, in fact in column K,it will be mobile numbers column, each number has some package in column J, this is why i want like this, if you can help...!!plz
if error still contain in cell which means that column E & F need to modify or amend or review..(most likely package need to add in column E & F to get the result)

VBA is an event driven programming language. Some thing occurs when something is happened.
What if there is a button.After every entry just clicking that button and the entry will be converted to code? will this be ok?

in real case, i have also 700 to 1000 numbers (with almost 300 packages)in column K, to write package name in front of number is i feel easier than combo box entry because watch the number than go to combo box is little difficult or forgettable....???my point is only is this

sir this is not contradiction people can be employee & these package for user (people) and we have to share with them and these sometime will selected from user with in corporate sector (companies)or some time as individuals..???
in my early statement i did not mention from where i belongs (industry) and what is the purpose of mine for this post, so i used word people...!!!

Then why not type the mobile number and search for the package code?

sir these packages and codes are in system, and we have codes for system server and package name for user for their convenient and better understanding when user says i need this package against my number we will type package name in front of his number the code will show automatically and we upload that file on server, that why i need this solution, this is mostly for corporate customer which change their package in bulk
