    Dual Monitor jumbled display

Very strange problem, not necessarily Excel related, but here I start.

I'm working with a dual monitor display, both monitors are the same. Left is my Main monitor.

If I have 2 workbooks, one in each monitor, they line up fine, the ribbon is the same size on each, bottoms are at the same level, etc.

However, if I've minimized a workbook, and drag it to where part is in each monitor, the portion on the right monitor is about 3/4 of an inch higher than the portion on the left monitor. This causes me issues because if I have it close to the top of the left monitor, when I drag to the right a lot of my ribbon gets hidden and it's hard to grab and drag back.

    Any ideas?
    I know I'm not stupid, but I suspect I'm a lot stupider than I think I am

Check the resolutions, are they identical? Sounds like that's the issue

Not ever sure how I'd set them to different resolutions. On either monitor, if I go to the desktop, right click and go to 'Screen Resolution' I get the same dialog box (see attached)

    Re: Dual Monitor jumbled display

The reason your to row is off is because the monitors are not aligned, move 1 up or 2 down, have them on the same height, aligne them if the image I can see that the top part in 1 will be an incho or more down and if you start with 2 the top border will be outside the are
I always have 1 on the left and 2 on the right but that's personal

    Re: Dual Monitor jumbled display

They ARE aligned correctly next to each other, they line up fine, the ribbon is the same size and location on each (they match), bottoms are at the same level, etc. ONLY difference is when dragging across. See pictures attached. I dragged a workbook so it's half on one page, half on the other. Top picture is left side, sitting 4 rows below column headers, but on the right side the dragged WB is directly below the column headers. Column headers on both monitors are on the same level.

    Re: Dual Monitor jumbled display

If you do what Keebellah said and drag the right hand monitor up a bit in your display settings, you should see the problem go away. The issue would only be visible with your current set up when a window is on both monitors at once.

I didn't understand. I thought he was saying to physically pull my monitor up, which wouldn't fix the problem. I didn't realize I could drag it up via my Display settings. You're right, that's fixed the problem. Thanks for clarifying, and thank you, Keebellah, for realizing what the problem truly was!

Sorry that I didn't explain myself correctly, you can see it on the screenshot you attached and... I must confess I did not know that was possible only when a colleague pointed it out to me when I was using a laptop and an external monitor and wanted the taskbars aligned, so you see, we all learn something new every day.

No sweat. I'm just happy we got it fixed AND I learned something new. Not a bad day at all.
