Creating a search engine in Excel 2013

Hi All,

Been tasked with creating a search engine in excel to search a targeted folder containing many files in different formats. I have said to them that windows has this, but they want a stand alone search engine in an excel 2013 format.

Is there a way I can search for files/folders containing a word entered into an excel cell (B14)? Then listing all the files in the excel spread sheet, when clicking on a search command button? List starting from a specific cell (B20). I have tried some codes found online, with little luck. Any help in creating the code would be fantastic.

In essence the excel spread sheet search engine acting like a librarian for a database.

My Google-fu found the following code from the following link. I tried it and it finds my files in Excel 2010. You could modify it to add the file paths to a collection, then write the file paths containing your keyword from the search cell. Then tie that into a button that clears the results and creates new ones.
