    Product Comparison

    Greetings everyone,

Hope someone can guide me a little with a project I'm working on, the objective is to be able to compare the same product from 3 different companies. I have all the information in Excel.

I'm using MAC MS Excel ver 14.6.6.

I'm building a MS Excel User Form like this:
    Captura de pantalla 2017-08-14 a la(s) 1.57.01 AM.png
Note: There is a price tag and box for each company missing, I have added that. Also a small box were the image would show.

Were the user can select the characteristics from a drop down menu and when they click Search, information will appear, showing the results from each company.

And my Excel worksheet looks something like this, I made a smaller example to keep it simple but I have over 3000 products for each company:
    Captura de pantalla 2017-08-14 a la(s) 2.12.51 AM.png

Few considerations I would like to include:
    - If there is 2 or more matching results for 1 company, that the user form shows an arrow indicating there is another product matching the search and when they click it, show the second, third, etc result.
    - I have an image pasted as a comment on each product, is there a way to show the image in the user form? I also have all the images in a folder named by the product code, the thing is I want to share this file to others.

I'm not experienced with Visual Basics, I can understand the code and edit simple stuff. I'm very thankful for any help I can get.

    Regards,

    Hi Leo,

Thanks for the reply. I will make a smaller version of my file and upload it, as right now the file is over 80MB because of the hundreds of images it has inserted as comments.

Will be up this night. Thanks again.

    Re: Product Comparison

    Hi again,

I did a smaller version of my file and using only 2 company products as I have not filled in the third one.

Hope this gives a better idea of what I'm trying to, I left the template of the User Form I posted on the first post.

    Thanks

PS: There's a macro intended to put images as comments when you click the button, that one works perfect.

    Re: Product Comparison

Anyone? I'm very stuck I don't know how to even start. A little guide on what codes to look or which way I should start going would be very helpful to me.

The main goal of this is to compare the same product of 3 companies to know who has the best price.

I'm maybe thinking in just leaving the User Form to have the options to entry data of the characteristics of the products and when click "Search", have the results down in a spreadsheet by company, would this be easier?

    Regards,

    Re: Product Comparison

I made something, i can not test on Mac so you have to find out,

i rebuild the sheet, only 1 column for price, 1 column for Item and 1 column for Company
the button show form opens the userform and the 9 comboboxes get populated with unique values of each column
the search button on the userform populate the listbox with items that match all criteria from comboboxes
by choosing 1 item from the listbox, the textboxes get populated.

    Kind regards
