Exclamation SUM hours booked per Employee

Dear Excel Users, I have a time-sheet where employees book their time worked on various Jobs. Each Job also have certain activities connected to it. So it means a person will fill in the time sheet for each job he has done a day (All is working perfectly). For example Tom has worked on three jobs so he enters the time sheet and captures his time.... the First Job was 1 hour, the second 3 hrs and the last 4 hrs to make up for the 8 hours a day. Currently I have a counter that shows the time booked and the time left but it is not working perfectly. What I want is the following each time Tom fills in the time sheet the counters add up the hours if he gets past 8 hrs it must give a warning. Also on a Friday it is only 6 hrs total work time. The counter must be able to recognize each employee and counts their time book individually. Please have a look and give me some advice...a solution will be greatly appreciated. Please see attached file. Thank You!!
PS: I do use the microsoft datepicker so activate it in vba to use it!

I haven't looked at the file but have you considered conditional formatting? You could color a cell depending on the hours worked and if it exceeds the required hours highlight it with the extra condition for the Friday.

I cannot run the macro because I'm missing the vba control for the calendar (I hate those ActiveX controls)
I did the conditional formatting and it looks like it works
It applies to 900 and some rows down.

Dear Keebellah - conditional formatting is NOT going to work - the data sheet is converted to go into another program. If you look at my example the counter is working on the Userform but I need some extra detail as I have explained above- ON THE USERFORM it must tell the person you have now booked 4 hour and you have 4 hours left if he books 6 hour it must come up with a warning....It must count each persons hours as he fills in the userform - As already stated - What I want is the following each time Tom fills in the time sheet the counters add up the hours if he gets past 8 hrs it must give a warning. Also on a Friday it is only 6 hrs total work time. The counter must be able to recognize each employee and counts their time book individually. Please have a look and give me some advice...a solution will be greatly appreciated. Please see attached file. Thank You!!

Like I mentioned, I get an error when I load the userform because you're using the calendar picker.
I'm not going to modify my setup for this, but then instead of the conditional format which you can leave to show if it's still correct, (won't influence the receiving program) you can add a UDF (User Definde Function) that is triggered when the user adds his time worked and then warn him/her if the hours exceed the allowed 8 or 6 depending on the day of the week.
You can even check on weekends then
I hope I have been able to explain my thoughts, think this over since you already programmed a userform this won't be too much of a challenge either

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

    @Mnet

Please read post #6 and add links.
Your attitude on different forums ( cross-posting multiple times without links and disregarding any request to correct that attitude) probably explains why no one bothers to answer any more
You are on the verge of being banned in some forums

Regardless, you have not complied with the rules here. Do yourself a favour and supply all of the required cross-post links.
