EXCEL 2003, VBA high lite specific cells in schedule sheet, work on cells already filled

I pieced together a VBA to high lite different things like days off (X), vacation days (V), late nights (L), ... I have them defined in cells V5 thru V9, it works when I make a change to a cell but I would like it high lite cells I already have filled out without going back and redoing the whole schedule. currently I have this:

I have a set of temps that is why there is two ranges of cells they can not work late so one range is full timers and the other is temps. I have no coding back ground at all (unless you count word games on the Commodore 64/128) so any info is helpful thank you.
