excel 2001 templates and command buttons

hi all

I have set up a timesheet as a template, there are 3 buttons on the sheet (close, email and save as),the user will enter a date reference and then press the save as button, which saves the sheet as a normal working sheet for data entry, this all works fine.

using vba how, when the template is opened only the save as button is enabled, but once the sheet has been saved as a normal excel sheet, the save as button is disabled and the close and email buttons are enabled.

What do you mean by "saved as a normal Excel sheet"? Without macros or just not as a template?

Could you attach the template? Makes it easier to provide a solution.

sorry , on pressing the save as on the template the shhet is saved as a macro enabled sheet
