Add Comment to Excel Shape

Hi all, my first post, so excuse any errors. I have a excel sheet which represents an Execution Plan, with coloured cells at certain Milestones. Each Milestone has a small Comment attached to it and shows permanently. This works fine when I used a coloured cell to indicate the Milestone.

I now use msoShapeDiamond to indicate the Milestone and did, a few days ago, find a way to Addcomment to the shape in a similar way to adding a Comment to a cell. Most embarrassing, I deleted that bit of code and have been googling for two days now (searched my history) and I can’t find the site where I first saw the solution.

Any help much appreciated.

Many thanks WBD, that certainly works ok however I need the comments to be always visible. I'm beginning to think I imagined finding a solution.... It was late at night!
I could put comments in the cell behind but the user also needs to be able to move the shape on the sheet.

thanks Rory, I did add text to the activity shapes (which are elongated pentagons) but the diamonds are too small.
