Hi Excel megamind,
I need help, I am looking to automate a lot of the updating in a file I have created. I have created a yearly holiday tracker for a group of agency employees that works fine for the current year. However when I update the dates for a new year I run into problems. Basically at the end of each week (last day of week being Saturday) there is a row that calculates each employees current holiday allowance based on what they started the week with and what they have used during the week.
When I update the first date of the year i.e. 01/04/2019 the file automatically updates each following cell to increment the date by one. which is great however the week end calculation row does not move.
what I want to be able to do is when setting up the file for a new year have the rows with the week end data move so they always follow Saturday and update the ranges on the formulas in the row to reflect the week they are calculating.
To do it manually at present takes a fair while as I have to do it on 6 iterations of the file for various different shifts. so am hoping there is a way to do it with VBA and automate the process
I am a newbie to VBA but really want to increase my knowledge in it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Paul
