    Associate Parts With Repair

    Hello,

I have attached a workbook for service. On the 'Input' sheet the data is entered. Columns D, J, and T are transferred to the 'PartsData' sheet through macros.

I have added parts in columns X, Y, and Z. I would if possible to have these parts associated with the AFR # from cell D5 and stored in the 'PieceParts' sheet keeping the association with the AFR #.

    Is this a possibility?

I appreciate any advice or help,

    FF

    Re: Associate Parts With Repair

    Just to clarify:

    1) When first creating a new AFR the associated part number data are manually entered into the Parts Table in columns X:Z - correct?

    2) When updating an AFR, if part numbers are added or removed then I assume that the PieceParts table will need to be updated with the additions and deletions - correct?

    3) If an AFR is updated and a new part number is added then can it be added to the end of the PieceParts table or does it need to be inserted in the table next to the other parts associated with this AFR # ? In general, how should the PieceParts table be sorted?

Notice to all: don't let me discourage you from responding - I'm not sure I can come up with a solution that is consistent with the existing style and structure of this workbook in any reasonable time

    Re: Associate Parts With Repair

Thank you for the reply sir.

    1) Yes correct
    2) Yes they need to stay with the AFR # whether added or removed
    3) It does not need to be inserted since the first column in the PieceParts table will have the AFR # associated. That table can be sorted manually if need be.

You have excellent questions and I apologize for not mentioning these details.
