Ghost Add-In

I was fooling with a speedometer addin, trying to see if it was worthwhile to use. Afterwards I uninstalled it from my addins. then closed Excel. When I reopen Excel, it no longer shows in my Add-Ins list, but is still opening with Excel, as an Add-in. How do I get rid of it?

UPDATE: I closed Excel, cut the add-in and moved it to another folder. That didn't completely fix it. When I reopen Excel, if I go to Developer, Addins, it doesn't appear. However, it still shows in my "Add-Ins" tab. The options are still available, but clicking on them tells me the addin may have been removed. But, my add-ins tab still persists in showing this one add-in. Help!

If the AddIn was added to the menu bar AddIn section you would need to remove it again

will reset the command bars but you may be better trying to isolate the individual, rather than lose other addins

    Nigelog,
Your code didn't make any change to the situation. If I go to the Developer Tab, then "Add-Ins", it doesn't show. If I go to my ADD-INS tab, it DOES show. I need to know how to kill it from my ADD-INS tab.

    Re: Ghost Add-In

Right-click the buttons/groups on the Add-ins tab and delete them.

    Good morning juazr22

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We are happy to help, however whilst you feel your request is similar to this thread, experience has shown that things soon get confusing when answers refer to particular cells/ranges/sheets which are unique to your post and not relevant to the original. Please start a new thread - See Forum rule #4

If you are not familiar with how to start a new thread see the FAQ: How to start a new thread

Also note, we would very much like to help you with your query, however you need to include code tags around your code.

Please take a moment to add the tags. Posting code between
Please Login or Register to view this content.
tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, and it also maintains VBA formatting.
