refresh pivots only

hi, i have a query in my file and several pivot tables. after the query is run i want to just refresh the pivots. if i use ActiveWorkbook.RefreshAll it refreshes the query again. Is there a command to just refresh the pivot tables and not the query connection?

Hi charliec,

If you click on a pivot table and then use the Pivot Table Tools, I believe you can refresh that single pivot table you have selected.

If you are writing VBA you can certainly refresh a single or many Pivot Tables without refreshing other information.

When you say "I have a query in my file", did you mean you have a Power Query that pulls in other data before the Pivot table is produced?

the query is a direct link to an external database so it's like an OBDC database connection. i need to get the data from the database connection and then refresh pivots. then i add soem manual info adn refresh the pivots again, but not the database connection. i may just have to do it one pivot table at a time.
