Possibility of calling external Fingerprint program

Hi, I'm working with several freelancers to develop a simple excel based inventory system with fingerprint authentication.The general workflow of this app is :

1. Assuming there are 3 shifts per day, A, B, C

2. Employee A inputs data for Shift A in Sheet A

3. When changing shifts from Shift A to Shift B, excel calls fingerprint app, and authenticate employee A and B's fingerprints.

4. Once the prints are accepted. Sheet A will be locked, and Employee B continue with Sheet B for Shift B for inputting data.

5. And same procedure for Shift B to Shift C to Shift A and so on

We are using excel to simplify the project and it's already installed on users machine..

But before moving forward,we are trying to figure out whether it is possible or not for excel to call fingerprint app using Digital Persona's SDK,and also accept and send input from the app.The SDK documentations says it supports .NET ActiveX,On the documents, these are all i could find related to activeX

I'm just wondering whether this is possible or not before we decide to use excel as the platform.

Will you please attach a small sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment (it hasn't worked for years, and despite our repeatedly asking the technical team who own the forum to fix it, they can't be bothered to do so), so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

Well, the workbook is not in english, and the content has little to do with what i'm trying to figure out.
But for the sake of simpler explanation, i've attached a simpler version of my workbook.

Ignore the top tables, and focus on the "CHANGE SHIFT TO SHIFT X" buttons
What i want to ask is,

With excel VBA, would it be possible with those buttons to do this procedure,
Let's use Shift A to Shift B as example :

1. When the button is pressed, Call fingerprint app,
2. Authenticate fingerprints of Shift A and B's employees
3. Once the prints are correct and accepted, lock Shift A
4. And the same thing for Shift B to Shift C

So to clarify again, i'm not asking to develop the fingerprint apps, or the inventory apps,
I'm simply asking whether this action is possible or not in VBA programming,
based on the Fingerprint SDK documentation i gave on the first post.

I know little of VBA programming, but my colleagues told me it's utilizing activeX,
and activeX is listed on the SDK documentations.
From here on we could decide whether we can use excel or do we have to use another platform.
