Hi
I have some 400 rows in a column (E) that I want to put a Conditional Format in.
The Conditional Format in E4 is =NOT(ISBLANK(E4)) and highlights A4:D4 if E4 is not blank.
The condition of E4 depends on the selection of blank or a wingdings Tick from a Named List drop down selection.
This works fine but I need to have =NOT(ISBLANK(E?)) for each of the other 366 rows in column E so as each row has been completed, the Tick causes the cells in the row beside the relevant E cell to grey out and so on down the sheet until all 366 rows have been completed (Ticked).
All the advice on the Net (and here) says you can use the Format Painter, but for some reason that doesn't work for me.
Is there any way that the same thing (i.e. if a cell is not blank then highlight the row beside it) can be achieved using VBA?
Cheers
Frankie
