Web Scraping - MouseEvent vs Click?

So I know web scraping can be kind of frowned upon by some sites. My question is this - is there a noticeable distinction from a web owner when someone uses VBA and uses the "Click" function rather than a MouseEvent like MOUSEUP or MOUSEDOWN? Or from the web owner's perspective they're the same thing?

Any ideas?
