how to merge range of cells and git a text as value of the merged cells

I am trying to merge a range of cells and give it a value as text. It is merging the cells and then giving an error.



Below is the code line where it says Run-time error '424': Object required.

I hate merged cells as they cause so much trouble when trying to write code for or around them. However, you asked. I think it would be a two-step process... merge the cells, then assign a value to it. Give this a try...

Yeah I know that merged cells are not ideal . That's the reason I am doing this as the very last step so it does not effect my code. Thank you once again!

As merging cells like here is totally useless except to get troubles …
