    Flattening a table

    Good morning,

I have a table which contains 6 columns.

The first 3 columns are Identifiers, Inspector name, Date and Station name. The next 3 columns are the criteria being measured and whether it is a pass, fail or N/A

I want to partially flatten the table so the output is 5 columns. The first three columns will remain as identifiers, Column 1 "Inspector", Column 2 "Date", column 3 "Station". The final 2 columns are the test criteria and the result.

If you take a peek at the example it is a lot easier to understand what I am trying to do.

Any help will be gratefully received.

    Many thanks Phil

This is a direct job description for Power Query

    Ribbon Data> From Table
Select Help Point:Station PA > Ribbon transform > Unpivot column
