Hi All,
I am new here, it seems to be the best place for all things excel help for sure!! I have a problem which I have tried to find the answer to but cannot find anything so far.
The problem is this: I am trying to make excel block editing for a set of cells based on whether another cell contains either "Yes" or "No". I know you can do this with Data Validation, however I already have Data Validation in some of my cells which I would prefer to keep as drop down lists. I have also used the Data Validation rule for blocking entry in cells in this selection based on the drop downs on the left of the data entry cell/
Is there a way around this? I have attached a sample sheet which contains basically what I am working with. I would like Cell J1 to be the reference. If J1 contains "Yes" then all cells below are editable. If J1 says "No" then I would like to block entry to all the other cells.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thankyou!!
