    Code Formatting App

I need a recommendation for software that will take VBA code and clean it up. Indent it properly, remove excess spaces, etc. Something self-contained or portable that does not require formal installation would be nice. Thanks.

I Googled "VBA code formatter" and this came out top:

Yes, I saw that too, but I need something localized to my machine.

That's just a preference. I'll install something if need be, but there's a lot out there that you can just run from within an exe in a folder with no install.

OK, so in that case, why are you asking? If you don't want something online and you don't want to install anything, but you know there are apps that will run in a folder, why not just use one of those? What other options are you expecting?

    Sorry - I'm really confused.

    Re: Code Formatting App

What I mean is, in general, there are thousands of apps that run from a folder. I wasn't meaning I knew of anything specific that formats code. In the end, again, the standalone program is just a preference and what I'm really after is a favored piece of software for formatting that I can run on my computer (even if it requires an install), not feed code into a website. Does that help?

OK - in that case, I suggest you completely rewrite the thread title. make it clear what you are asking, and then re-read your opening post to understand why it did not communicate this either.

Farmed it out to someone else, who had ZERO issue interpreting my very basic and clear original post. And I got the recommendation I needed.

Well, I was the only one here who even tried to help you!!! What a strange attitude.

Glad you got it sorted - care to share for the benefit of others?
