Help to set up workbook that suggests a possible Fantasy Footy team

    Hey everyone,

I am trying to build a program that suggest me the best possible lineup for a fantasy soccer manager game (very nerdy, I know :D).

So the Idea is that I have a ranking of players with a number telling me how good they presumably will perform the next game, their market value and their position.

I have different possible formations to choose from (3 defenders, 4 midfielders, 3 attackers etc.) and a budget of 250 Million.

Now the goal is to get to the maximum ranking possible. I am not too experienced in creating programs like that, so I was hoping for someone experienced to get me started on this.

My initial idea is to start with the best ranked player and then go through all the possibilities. After each possibility I would check whether it is better than the current maximum. The problem is that I am struggling a bit with how to start.

I've attached the kind of data I will be using.

Thank you in advance for your input!!

    All the best

I struggled to actually attach a file so here is the structure of the data and some examples.

    Kein Problem - gern geschehen.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

    Hey everyone,

so I tried to do it with 11 for loops, but I realized that there are almost 40 Million combinations if I am not mistaken. The possible combinations should be the faculty of 11 right?
Looking at that is it even possible to do this with VBA or would I need SQL knowledge?

    Best,
