    Automatic shift schedule generator needed

    Hello,

As a startup company its hard to purchase HR software. I am in need of shift schedule generator wich will provide me below options:

    1. employee shift preference database
    2. employee holiday registration

after this I would like to have a monthly schedule 1st March-31 March for example and generate automatically a schedule for 4 shifts (07h-15h,15h-23h,18h-02h,23h-07h) I will need 4 people in all shifts and there should be a shift inbetween for the personnel.

    I have 26 employees.

Currently I am managing this by manual input but this makes it very hard. Would this be possible with VBA coding?

Re: Automatic shift schedule generator needed

    Please be more specific.
What is "a shift inbetween" with your shift list (07h-15h,15h-23h,18h-02h,23h-07h) a shift in between means 15h-23h, shift in between ,23h-07h is fine?
How many consequtive day is allowed.
    Best Regards,

    Kaper

This is more a brief than a call for help. What have you done yourself so far? Do you have a mock-up of what you want?

If you want someone to work on this for you to create a complete solution from start to finish with no input from you, it's really beyond the scope of the free help offered here. You could look at Commercial Services, where you can offer your helper some recompense within your company's budget.

    Hi Ali,

thanks for your response I have uploaded the file I was working on. Currently there is no Macros attached simply cause I was not really sure how to start it off. Pleased to hear some tips/guidance on this.

    Hi Kaper,

you can see attached document basically there should be an 11 hour break between shifts, and within a week there should be 48 hours of off time. My employees can have this in consecutive days or separate days.

Re: Automatic shift schedule generator needed

After examining the file it seems quite complicated task, and I don't think that I'll find enough time to explore and properly develop this.
But let me share a small hint here:
I think it would be wise to start planning for given month with at least last week of the month before visible (may be 10 day, or may be 5 would be enough as the requirement of 48 hours in a row free).
