    Hello guys!

Can I lock some specific cells some time (let's say 30 minutes) after data entry in my worksheet and protect them with a password?
This is the worksheet I need to time-lock.
The cells to be locked are G4:M4, G5:M5, G6:M6, G7:M7, and so on. Once the user inserts the number of tickets, he should have 30 minutes to modify them; after that time, changes should not be allowed anymore.

Can you help me? Is this possible? Thanks

    Hi,

Maybe the following may give you a idea

    In the worksheet Code goes

    In a module goes
Please Login or Register to view this content.
It seemed to do the trick, there may be bugs tho
Please be as complete as possible in your asking so it may save use all the time to rework the solution because you didn't give all the requirements. If you have a layout in mind please work it out first so we can adapt our solution to it. Thanks.

Re: Time-lock specific cells after data entry

    Thank you, Joske920.
I've tried to run the code in my worksheet but it doesn't seem to work; I copied it exactly as it is in your post, so I cannot understand why. I'll test it again.
However, would it be possible to add an alert saying something like "You're not allowed to modify the number of guests anymore"?

Re: Time-lock specific cells after data entry

    Hello Joske920,
I've managed to copy your code. However, after I enter some data in one of the cells (G:M) it doesn't allow me to insert other numbers in the other cells of the row.
For example, if I insert the number "3" in H6, I cannot type anything else in the whole G:M range.
In your attached file, it doesn't occur.
    What can I do??
