Some Columns Protected - Insert Row Above Selected Row, Copying Formulas From Selected Row

I made a post yesterday, but it hasn't received any replies. I thought it might be best if I repost with a (slightly) different file and a better explanation of what's needed. Just for the record, the file was created by a coworker, and I left everything (basically) as it was when she sent it to me. (I say that because I feel like it's kind of sloppy, so y'all might think so, too. Haha! Once I'm able to sort out the issue I'm writing about, I'll clean up the slop. )

Several (not-so-Excel-trustworthy) people will be working in it. It will be password protected, and several of the columns are locked because they contain formulas. We need them to be able to insert rows, but the locked cells complicate it.

I need something that will unlock the worksheet, allow for insertion of a row that copies the formulas from the row above it (or below - I'm not sure how that works - or...maybe it's still too early in the morning and my brain's not totally 'on it' yet), then re-lock the worksheet. Also, it should not show any sort of warning/error pop-up box when or after the user inserts the line. Is there a way to make all this happen?

    - The columns with formulas are: I, K, P, Q, R, S, and T. The formulas start at row 12.

    Thank you!!

Hi - could we possibly just delete both of them? (Neither has received a response and removing them wouldn't take away from helping anyone.)

No - sorry, that's not the way it works. We don't remove threads.

It is fine to bump an existing thread after 24 hours have passed with extra detail - this is what you should have done.

Not all threads will get immediate responses, but that does not mean that you won't get help.

We are all volunteers here who have lives beyond this forum. While you may be awake and working, this is a world wide forum and others may be playing, sleeping or working and not have the time to look into your issues this minute. Patience is important here. If you have an urgent issue, you may wish to look at paying for help in the Commercial Services sub-forum or hiring a professional consultant in your area. If you get the help you need today, then great, but you really should not count on it. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

I certainly wasn't implying impatience when I said neither post had received a response. I simply meant that deleting them wouldn't 'take away' from assisting anyone else, since there had not yet been a resolution to them. But - I now understand the rule, and I apologize for asking.

That's OK - you really have nothing to lose by leaving this thread open. It was only half an hour ago that you posted today - that's not very long at all.

Add the extra information and workbook from your duplicate thread here and see if you get a bite. If not, then it may simply be that members are not quite following what you want.

Oh, dear ... I asked you to read our rules, and I don't think you did. Do so now, and please make sure you read them all. Thank you.

    Administrative Note:

We would very much like to help you with your query, however it has been brought to our attention that the same query has been posted on one or more other forums and you have not told us about this. You are required to do so.

Please see Forum Rule #3 about cross-posting and adjust accordingly. Read this to understand why we (and other sites like us) consider this to be important.

(Note: this requirement is not optional. As you are new here, I shall do it for you this time: https://www.mrexcel.com/board/thread...ected.1215952/)
