Resolve the table as an Excel Formula

    Sample excel file is attached

I need a formula that essentially analyzes cells A3 and B3 of Sheet "IO", based upon the table in Sheet "DATA" and outputs the results to Cell C3.

(ex. On Sheet "IO", A value in cell A3 of $8,500.00, and a value in cell B3 of 31% would output a value of $125.00 in C3).

Hopefully this makes sense. I filled the first few cells in manually to hopefully get someone going in the right direction.

    Thanks so much!

Re: Resolve the chart as an Excel Formula

They key here is to make your % and $ brackets numbers instead of text. I modified your table to show the minimum percent for each column, and minimum $ for each row. Then it's a simple INDEX/MATCH/MATCH formula to look up the numbers in the table.

You're welcome and thanks for the rep!

BTW I found your title confusing. What you have in your file is a data table, not a chart.

Sheldon - would you please update your forum profile with the 'latest' version of Excel that you have? Is it Excel 2021 or 365? Thanks.
