    Cannot extend table or database

    Hello,

I have created some kind of a management system in Excel some 25 years ago and I have been using it ever since.
Every year I would cut last year's entries to make the size of the table manageable.
However recently my budget and my daily planning excels started throwing errors. Sometimes the macros would not work, other times they would work.
Sometimes the file would not save.
So I would raise my old backup of the same file, copy the table there and keep going.

The problem is that Excel thinks my table is 475 rows long, whereas it is 3862 rows now. I cannot make a new entry vs forms anymore.
How do I show Excel that my table is actually much longer?

    Thanks
    Mindaugas

3862 lines isn't a problem for Excel, you problem may be other then that, since it is too old the new feature of array might be interfering in the sheet calculation, but it's just a guess.

    Thanks for your reply.
In the end of the year one of my tables grow to some 10K lines, so size is not an issue here.
After the last bug I just copied a table from my buggy XLS file to an older backup, which was from February this year. So the file was not ancient.
And XLS still thinks that the size of the table is 475 lines, just like it was in the old file. Usually I would go through forms and make a number of new entries, thus telling Excel I am increasing the table. This time I just overwrote the data with new data, as inputting some 3000 lines one by one seemed like a choir.
I suppose there should be a properties menu somewhere where I could just tell Excel that my table is larger. Then there would be no problem to use Forms feature and expand Excel table in the regular way, cause now Excel just sees some data below line 475 and throws an error, as it does not want to overwrite that data.

    Regards
