Input data from the web

Hey all

I'm an amateur investor and saw someone on a meeting with the most awesome Excel tool to manage his stocks.
The guy was able to download real time info straight from the web into excel, not using the standard 'stocks' option in the data tab.
Somehow he was able to gather data straight from the website and able to drag down the functions when he input a new ticker (stock abbreviation).
Het got his info from this kind of webpage, I'll take Microsoft as example: //finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/key-statistics

He was able to get data in that Excel doesn't offer in its standard 'stocks' option.

Anyone who know how to do this?

Thank you for the link. However, the guy I saw at the meeting was able to just 'download' website information straight into his excel. He didn't use a provider but used the data from the website itself.
I have no idea how but he just used the web and excel, no 3rd parties or EDI or any of that. He didn't pay anything to anyone. It's like his excel file scraped the website URL and put the info somehow into his excel file, with the stock ticker as a variable.

Yes, I saw something like that the other day in one of the messages, but I didn't store the information.
What I can say is to keep looking, I think some market forums are good for collecting this information.
