I have a few items that I pick from a list, then make a shopping list that I can take to the market.
Attached is a similar file. My real file is at home.
Columns L and M are what I am looking to print (update list).

Have you thought about using a Pivot table?
From the Excel Main Menu
<data><pivot table>
Check: Microsoft Excel List......Click [Next]
Range: (Select your unsorted list, including headings)......Click [Next]
Click [Layout]
....Drag: Item to the ROW area
....Drag: Qty to the DATA area
....(if it doesn't display as Sum_of_Qty...Dbl-Click it and check: SUM)
Click [OK]
Select where you want the Pivot Table and click [Finish]
The end result will look like this:
Is that something you can work with? Please Login or Register to view this content.
The shopping list is taken from a list of 7000 items. I sort then select a few items on one sheet and they get carried over and mulitpled by number of days ot get me a list to buy.
The pivottable worked nicely. Just doesn't look as good format.
But thanks...spent a few hrs on it. May come in handy for other projects.
Here is the attached file. Any more suggestions?
