Lock Formatting But Allow User To Edit Value

    Hello,

I am looking to look the formatting of a cell (border, color, font size, etc) but allow the user to edit the actual value of the cell.

The problem I am having is that by copying in data, the font size or color will change in the cell. This is something I do not want to have happen. Googling this only has resulted in many sites saying "you can do this with VBA!" but not actually showing how

What I have now is this --

But, I want that range to have formatting locked. Essentially everything other than value.

If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

It's probably possible, but rather than locking & unlocking which can get messy, a workaround might be to use the SelectionChange event in the worksheet to reapply whatever formatting you want if one of your formatted cells is changed ...

That's what I'm going to do, I'm just going to call a "Change" sub via Worksheet_Change to just set the formatting for whatever cell got changed.

    Thanks
