turning a cell's conditional formatting off than back on.

I have a cell that is formatted in such a way that depending on it's content, it highlites itself in one of 3 colors - conditional formatting.

What I need to be able to do is temporarily suspend this and then turn it back on. Is this possible to do without errasing all the conditional formating, and then re-formatting it again?

    Thank you.

You either quit or become really good at it. There are no other choices.

You can add a flag cell somewhere 1 for on and 0 for Off.

Let's assume this cell is called _CFON ... you can amend your CF rules to first test this cell:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
when _CFON is 0 the CF rule will never evaluate to True and thus the default format will always be displayed.

    Does that help ?
